Book An Appointment
Consultations are by appointment only.
Appointment Leaflet
Appointments can be made by telephoning the surgery, patient internet access or in person at reception.
From the 1st April 2015, all patients were registered with a named, accountable GP, but patients may express a preference to see a particular doctor when making an appointment. However, should the doctor of your choice be unavailable, you will be offered an appointment with another GP within 48 hours or a nurse / primary care professional within 24 hours.
For 30 Kingsway Surgery patients your accountable named GP's are Dr McDonagh & Dr Wakeford
You may prefer to wait to see a particular GP and this may result in waiting for more than 24 / 48 hours. Should you be unable to keep an appointment, please contact the surgery to advise of a cancellation giving as much notice as possible so that the appointment can be offered to another patient.
Do you think your problem can be solved without a face to face consultation?
Ring the surgery at 8am, speak to a receptionist to request a telephone consultation with the GP.
Each GP has telephone consultations throughout the working day.
Register for Online Services
To register for our online services you will need to visit the practice and complete a form, bringing with you two forms of identification. One of these items should include your photograph. We will then issue you a username and password.
Online Appointment Booking
Registered Patients can book routine appointments with a GP through the website. This service also allows you to review and cancel any appointments that you have booked at the practice.
To increasing patient access to our services we offer a 24 hour online appointment booking system. EMIS Access is an online service offered by the clinical computer system EMIS to allow patients to perform certain tasks online. The system links into the practice's clinical system and allows the patient, once they've registered for the service to book appointments online without having to ring or call into the practice.

CANCELLATIONS
If you are unable to keep an appointment, please cancel it at least 30 minutes before your appointment time (as we may be able to offer it to someone else). Failure to cancel 30 minutes before your appointment time will result in a missed appointment code being entered onto your medical records.
NON-ATTENDED APPOINTMENTS:
Non attended appointments waste both time and money. If you cannot keep your appointment PLEASE remember to cancel it, giving us as much notice as you can, preferably 24 hours notice. Letting us know that you cannot attend your appointment means we can then offer it to someone else.
The practice has a DNA (Did Not Attend) Policy. If you fail to attend three appointments in a twelve month period, you will be removed from the Practice list.
